29'er race geometry
The combination of a steeper-than-average head angle and super short chainstays gives the Scalpel 29'er a similar wheelbase and trail to our 29" race hardtails for ultra sharp, responsive handling.
Press fit, full carbon BBB30
Oversized, press-fit BB30 and full carbon shell guarantees zero bottom bracket flex no matter what your power output is.
Reversible Head Tube Spacer
To increase the versatility of the Scalpel, it comes with a 10mm head tube spacer that can be run either on top of the head tube for the most race-like handling, or on the bottom for a slacker head angle and more Trail-like handling. Does not affect front end height.
ECS-TC system
Clamped, 15mm thru-axles in the shock linkage and swingarm pivot, as well as double bearings at the rear dropouts eliminate flex and provide unmatched center-stiffness for complete control.
Zero-pivot seatstays
Through precise carbon lay-up, the stays are designed to flex vertically while remaining extremely stiff laterally and torsionally. This enhances suspension performance without affecting power delivery. Like the Jekyll, the alloy versions get ECS-TC double bearings in the dropout pivots in place of Zero-Pivot stays for smooth performance.
